Forsyth Central forward Kayla Richards scored the 1,000th point of her varsity career Wednesday night against Johnson in Oakwood.

Richards, a senior, reached the milestone midway through the second quarter and finished the game with 15 points and nine rebounds.

An all-county first team selection last season, Richards is committed to Division II Columbus State (Ga.)
