Denmark football honors Finley Kruchten during signing ceremony

Denmark held a signing ceremony Wednesday inside the school's cafeteria. The Danes recognized football players Jack Brenk, left, and Brendan Hester for signing with Cumberland University and Elon University, respectively. The late Finley Kruchten, who died in October due to complications from a pulmonary embolism, was also honored, as his mother, Veronica, posed with a football jersey from Marist University, where Finley had planned to sign. Denmark celebrated two football players heading to the next level, as well as honored the memory of fellow senior Finley Kruchten — who passed away in October but had planned to sign with Marist University.
