Outlook: Gardner scored a pair of touchdowns last week to lead the Vikings to their first win of the year, a double-overtime escape at Gilmer. These teams come in having experienced very different seasons so far, but this is essentially a fresh start for both, with each team’s playoff hopes hinging on five subregion games. A win for West could set up a battle for first place next Friday against Gainesville.
