If I were to make a list of my favorite things about summer, eating fresh, vine-ripened tomatoes would definitely be up there on such a list. I think this is the first summer we didn’t plant any tomato plants—we just didn’t have a sunny-enough spot in our old garden area. So, I have been seeking out those ruby red gems at various local farmers markets or from friends who are growing tomatoes.
