In my almost three decades of writing food columns and developing recipes, I truly don’t remember ever writing a column highlighting hot dogs. Well, in honor of July being National Hot Dog Month, and perhaps more importantly, in light of the high cost of food as of late, let’s pay homage to the humble hot dog.
