Canton Road reopened after serious crash

Drivers were being turned around just east of the Ingles on Canton Road Tuesday morning. The road was closed due to a serious crash just west of Zaxby's. The road was closed at Sawnee Drive on the other side, with traffic being detoured around Sawnee Drive. The road was closed for about four hours, from 5:30 to 9:30 a.m.

A city of Cumming employee was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Monday morning at one of its facilities, officials said.
