Update: Forsyth County residents asked to limit water use until noon on Saturday after violent storm knocked out power

Power has been restored to the Forsyth County water plant. Residents are asked to continue limiting water use.

"Our partners at Georgia Power have restored power to our water plant," officials stated in a news release. "We ask that water conservation efforts continue through Saturday at noon as we work to replenish our water resources. Thanks to water conservation efforts and our operations staff, we have continued to provide high quality water to all customers throughout this challenge."

Forsyth County residents are being asked to limit water use on Friday, July 21, after severe storms knocked out power at the water plant.

According to a release by Forsyth County government, the Department of Water & Sewer "has temporarily lost the ability to produce water at its plant."

Water restriction is requested until power is restored and water production resumes.

The County will provide updates on its social media channels and website
