Work to smooth the driving surface on Ga. 400 will begin this week on the northbound side. 
Beginning tonight crews will close lanes from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. on the northbound side between McFarland Parkway and Hwy. 306 (Keith Bridge Road).
These nightly, double-lane closures will allow Georgia DOT construction partners to grind the driving surface creating a smoother ride for drivers.
