Luke Parker, a Gainesville resident and contestant on “The Bachelorette” was back in his hometown Saturday, April 20, taking Hannah Brown to dinner at Curt’s Cafeteria in Oakwood.
The show doesn’t begin airing until 8 p.m. May 13 on ABC, but it seems filming of hometown dates has begun.
That means Brown, this season’s bachelorette, is down to the final four men vying for her heart on the TV show and is visiting each one’s hometown.
Cars were scattered in the parking lots around Curt’s as word of where the couple were spread on social media. Just before their date at the country-style restaurant, Parker was spotted on the downtown Gainesville square with producers for the show.
Producers went in and out of the restaurant with cameras and boom microphones before Parker and Brown’s arrival. They directed large vans to park in front of the restaurant, trying to keep the operation a secret.
But as the rain let up for a moment and the two stepped out of a black car and rounded the corner of the building to head inside for their date, it was easy to see things were all smiles.
