Temperatures at the freezing mark and a 50 percent chance of snow, with a possible accumulation of less than half an inch, are forecast for Tuesday.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a “hazardous weather outlook” that says that the combination of wind and cold temperatures will drop wind chills to 10 degrees or below for much of north Georgia.

Also, “there will be a chance of light snow late Tuesday into Tuesday night,” the bulletin states. “No significant accumulations are expected.”

The forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of snow and sleet Tuesday night.

Conditions are expected to improve past Tuesday, with the high temperature steadily rising to 49 by Friday. Also, sunny skies are expected through the rest of the week.
