One critically burned in south Forsyth fire
Fire April 20 2018

Authorities are still investigating a south Forsyth warehouse fire that left one man critically injured and under sedation at Grady Burn Center.

According to Division Chief Jason Shivers of the Forsyth County Fire Department, firefighters responded to a warehouse on Peachtree Parkway near Bagley Road at around 5 p.m. Friday and found the building heavily engulfed in flames.

One man was found at the scene with very serious burn injuries and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital by a LifeFlight helicopter.

Shivers said that as of Monday afternoon, the injured man has not regained consciousness to speak with investigators.

Shivers said that the building sustained heavy damage in the blaze, and the fire was likely fed by burning vehicles within the warehouse.

Peachtree Parkway Southbound at Bagley Road was partially closed for most of Friday evening due to the blaze but was reopened shortly thereafter.
