Cumming VVA supports foundation

CUMMING — The Cumming Chapter 1030 of the Vietnam Veterans of America recently donated $500 to the Georgia National Guard Family Support Foundation.

The foundation provides emergency assistance during times of financial crisis to Guard members and their families.

Among those taking part in the ceremony were, from left, Mike Hillhouse and Billy Darby of the local VVA and Army Sgt. 1st Class David Creamer of the Georgia National Guard Readiness Center in Cumming.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and Sgt. D.P. Land Memorial FOP Lodge #82 hosted the annual "Cops & Kids" shopping event on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the Walmart on Market Place Boulevard.
