Hall County officials say they have one person in custody following Thursday's threats against the school system.
In a message sent to parents early Friday morning officials say that one person, who they say is responsible for Thursday's threats is in custody. They also said this person is currently on probation for previous bomb threats.
The message goes on to say that they expect a normal day in Hall County Schools.
In a message sent out on Thursday Hall County officials had warned residents about the threats, advising that they would likely see a larger than normal law enforcement presence at area schools.
“The Hall County Sheriff’s Department was contacted by a concerned citizen with regard to a post on social media referencing a possible bomb threat to Hall County Schools. Working closely with law enforcement, the Hall County School District has taken steps and precautions to ensure that all Hall County students, team members, and campuses are safe,” according to an announcement by the school system.
The reward was offered for any information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for the threat.
“We look forward to a normal school day tomorrow and security measures will be in place throughout the day to ensure the safety of all students and team members,” according to the announcement.
