Authorities say that a vehicle connected to the disappearance of a Lumpkin County woman has been recovered in Forsyth County.
According to Georgia Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Nelly Miles, a black Mazda truck associated with the disappearance of Hannah Bender was located in Forsyth County on Tuesday, Sept. 24. Bender was reported missing by her mother in Lumpkin County on Sept. 19.
The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office said that shortly after investigators received word of Bender’s disappearance, bloody clothing was found.
Following Bender’s disappearance, the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office issued murder warrants on Saturday, Sept. 21 for Austin Todd Stryker in connection with the disappearance.
Stryker and Bender have not yet been located.
The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office is reportedly being assisted in the search for Bender and Stryker by the Georgia Bureau of Investigations and other law enforcement agencies.
Miles said that the truck is being processed by the GBI.
