Authorities are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man believed to have information about vandalism in a west Forsyth subdivision.

The Dec. 3 incident, which occurred in the Sweetbriar clubhouse, was recorded by a security camera on the property.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office described the "person of interest" as a white man in his late teens or early 20s with long hair.

Sheriff’s Capt. Frank Huggins said a member of the neighborhood’s homeowners association reported the incident after checking on the pool house.

“Upon arrival he discovered that someone had damaged the pool house," Huggins said. "Two of the doors were kicked in.

A water fountain outside had been destroyed. Both the men’s and women’s bathrooms were damaged, and the plumbing under a sink was ripped out.

"There was evidence that someone had started a fire inside the building.”

The damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
