On Friday, Forsyth County authorities charged a local woman with murder, alleging that she was responsible for the death of an individual that was in her care.
Jessica Diane Eubanks, 34, of Forsyth County was arrested by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office on Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, and has been charged with murder, possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute and family violence.
On Sunday, sheriff’s office spokesman Cpl. Doug Rainwater told the Forsyth County News that Eubanks has been under investigation by sheriff’s office detectives since June 23, 2019 when an adult female in her care died.
Rainwater said that over the last several months, the victim’s body has been investigated by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab, and in the last week “pieces of the investigation came together” which led to Eubanks arrest.
“Through the autopsy and our investigation we determined that Eubanks was responsible for the death,” he said.
This incident is currently under investigation by the sheriff’s office’s Major Crime Unit.
