Chicken Salad Chick celebrates grand opening at The Collection

The doors didn’t officially open at the new Chicken Salad Chick at The Collection at Forsyth until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, but customers were in line as early as 4:30 a.m.

“This is the most love we have ever gotten at an opening,” said Lauren Fernandez, an owner and president of Origin Development Group that is a developer for the Atlanta, Augusta and Athens markets for Chicken Salad Chick.

They were there to be one of the first 100 guests who each won free chicken salad for a year. The new restaurant is having daily giveaways and specials the rest of the week.

The fast-casual restaurant will have a dozen specialty chicken salad flavors, fresh salads, sides, soups and full-service catering. The Cumming location represents the sixth Atlanta location and 10th overall by Origin.

Chicken Salad Chick was established in 2008 by founders Stacy and Kevin Brown and now have more than 85 restaurants in nine states across the Southeast.
