Spring is a perfect time to learn about all the migratory and full-time feathered friends that live and pass through Sandy Springs. Roseanne Guerra, Master Birder and Birds GA lecturer will share her deep knowledge with us at Lost Corner Preserve. Come for a morning talk in the cottage about all the birds that surround us, followed by a guided walk through the trails of the Preserve where you can put all that newfound knowledge to the test! Roseanne Guerra is a Master Birder, Naturalist and Environmental Educator who hails from New Orleans and moved to Atlanta in 1988. Her wildlife and education experience includes animal rehabilitation, performing in Zoo Atlanta's free-flighted bird show and leading many bird walks for Birds GA and numerous nature centers.

The 2025 Hot Wheels Legends Tour rolls into the Atlanta area with a live event on Saturday, May 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. local time. This epic global contest offers custom car builders the unique opportunity to have their passion projects turned into the next Hot Wheels die-cast toy car. The family-friendly and free event will feature a unique mix of vehicles from across the state, Hot Wheels Garage of Legends life-size cars, and an array of onsite experiences and collectables that are only available on the Tour.

During this gentle 2 ½ hour ramble, we will balance wandering with rest, facilitated group gatherings, and solo time. Your guide will offer invitations, or suggestions, for safely engaging with Nature through our senses: sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell. With no expectations or goals, this is an opportunity to slow down, unplug, destress, and practice presence in the moment. We quite literally "come to our senses" and deepen our connection to Nature, ourselves, and each other. Inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, which translates to "forest bathing", this is a sensory immersion, a chance to soak in the therapeutic benefits of being present in Nature (no water required!). 2025 Dates: Saturday, March 1 Saturday, May 3 ​Saturday, June 28 10:00 AM-4:00 PM Cost: $120 You can create a leather shoulder bag with an adjustable strap and tassel. This bag project is recommended for first-time students, but you can also choose from the following projects: a leather belt, passport wallet, journal, phone pouch with a braided strap, drawstring pouch, or clutch purse large enough for a phone and wallet. You may have time to complete an additional item depending on the project you select. Throughout the workshop, you will learn techniques for cutting leather and various stitching styles. You can also learn how to use a wood-burning tool to inscribe a design directly onto the leather and then colorize it. All leathers, materials, tools, and instructions will be provided, along with templates. No artistic ability or previous leatherworking experience is necessary. ​You only need to bring your lunch, enthusiasm, and a desire to create something beautiful! When registering, please indicate which project you would like to work on.​

Dig deep into the world of edible gardening in this exciting workshop for students ages 6-16! "Rooted in Learning" gives young gardeners the chance to explore how food grows-from planting seeds to harvesting delicious, fresh produce. Through hands-on activities, participants will gain practical gardening skills, discover the importance of sustainability, and learn how to grow their own food at home or school. No matter your student's interests, this class offers a fun and educational experience to ignite curiosity. This class will be held outside at the demonstration edible garden in the parking lot extension. In the event of poor weather, the class will be canceled. Select Saturdays in May, June, July & August | 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM This introduction to canoeing on Beaver Pond is for first time paddlers, families with young kids, or adults coming back to the sport. CNC's canoe guides will spend extra time going over paddling techniques and equipment, as well as lead races and games to practice. Admission to CNC is included so bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the nature center grounds afterwards. All equipment is provided. Ages 5+; $25 general public/$12.50 CNC Members (price per person).
