Carmike Cinemas Inc. has announced the closing of its purchase of MNM Theatres, which owns Movies 400 in Cumming.
The agreement was first announced in August.
Besides the Cumming site, the deal also includes two other locations, one each in Hiram and Atlanta.
According to a release from Columbus-based Carmike, the company will soon begin converting MNM’s 34 remaining analog screens to digital cinema.
In addition, Carmike plans to later install 15 additional RealD 3-D screens in the locations.
Carmike now has 25 Georgia-based entertainment complexes.
"We are delighted to complete this transaction, which further expands our growing footprint in Carmike’s home state of Georgia," said President and CEO David Passman in a statement.
