A 40-year-old woman was released from the hospital Thursday, two days after she was injured in a collision with a dump truck in south Forsyth.
The wreck occurred about 5 p.m. Tuesday at Hwy. 141 and the entrance to the Brookwood Commons Shopping Center.
According to a Forsyth County Sheriff’s report, Christie Powell Thoss of Fawn Lake Drive was flown to Atlanta Medical Center, where she was listed in serious but stable condition.
Thoss’s 2003 Toyota Rav 4 was struck by a 1987 Autocar dump truck as she was turning left out of the shopping center onto Hwy. 141, the report shows.
The westbound truck, driven by 40-year-old Michael Eugene Bingham of Flowery Branch, struck the Toyota on its driver’s side door.
Bingham was not injured.
Thoss’s 3-year-old son, who was riding with her, was taken to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Pediatric Hospital, where he was treated and released.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision.
